Mrs. Stevenson's Cumberland Sausage & RiceCook sausage in traditional manner and allow to cool. Fry chopped onion and garlic (if used) until translucent. Add chopped peppers and cook for further 2-3 minutes. Add mushrooms and cook for 1 minute. Cut sausages into bite sized pieces and add to vegetables, stirring well, until heated through. Add tinned tomatoes. Dilute stock cube and add, to make a fluid, moist meal and season to taste. Cook rice according to instructions. Serve hot,on a bed of rice, garnished with basil leaves. |
